Baccarat is one of the most glamorous and easiest casino games to learn. Unlike poker, it requires no advanced technical skill – anyone can get started within minutes. But don't let the simplicity fool you; beneath that straightforward surface lies a depth of strategy and excitement that keeps players coming back for more.
At Mantap88, baccarat is far more than just another game. We offer over 20 live tables with specially trained professional dealers, uninterrupted HD video streaming, and betting limits that cater to every type of player – from beginners looking to try things out with RM10, to high rollers staking tens of thousands of ringgit every night.
The objective of baccarat is simple: predict whether the Player hand or the Banker hand will come closer to 9, or whether both will Tie. You're not "playing" against the dealer – you simply choose which side you think will win before the cards are dealt.
Card values in baccarat differ from other card games. Number cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value. 10s, Jacks, Queens, and Kings are worth zero. Aces are worth 1. If the total of two cards exceeds 9, the first digit is dropped – for example, a 7 and an 8 add up to 15, but the hand value is 5.
There are automatic rules for the third card that you do not need to memorise – the dealer handles everything. What matters is understanding the three main betting options: Player (pays 1:1), Banker (pays 0.95:1 after 5% commission) and Tie (pays 8:1).
From a statistical standpoint, the Banker bet carries the lowest house edge at 1.06%, compared to Player at 1.24% and Tie at 14.36%. This is why most experienced players bet on Banker more frequently, even with the small commission taken.
Mantap88 goes beyond Classic Baccarat. Our platform features a wide range of variations to keep things fresh and ensure there is always something new to try.
Speed Baccarat – Ideal for players who love fast action. Each round is completed in just 27 seconds, compared to 48 seconds in Classic Baccarat. All cards are dealt face-up simultaneously, making every round more thrilling and more rapid.
No Commission Baccarat – In standard baccarat, a Banker win carries a 5% commission. In No Commission Baccarat, that commission is removed – both Player and Banker pay out at full 1:1 odds. There is one minor exception: when the Banker wins with a total of 6, the payout is reduced to half.
Dragon Tiger – The simplest and fastest variation. Just one card is dealt for Dragon and one for Tiger. The higher card wins. No third-card rules, no complex calculations – perfect for players who want a truly fast-paced experience.
Baccarat VIP – An exclusive table with high bet limits, extended betting time, and hand-picked dealers. For Mantap88 VIP members, private tables can be reserved for uninterrupted sessions away from other players.
Baccarat Squeeze – The dealer slowly reveals each card with dramatic flair, building suspense before the final value is unveiled. The most thrilling experience for players who appreciate the drama and elegance of traditional casino games.
One thing that sets Mantap88 apart from other platforms is the quality of their live casino streaming.
